This project is being implemented in Asuogyaman District since 2022 where we have supported the Anum community in the district to establish a community foundation. The objective of the community foundation is to promote local leadership and ownership of development interventions and strengthen the community’s ability to claim entitlements from different actors, especially the government. This project is supported by STAR-Ghana Foundation with funding from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Key results are;
- The community foundation has mobilized over Eighty Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHS85,000) to construct a local community market. The market will serve over 5000 local inhabitants.
- We supported the community to advocate for the district assembly to prioritize the construction of a day care center in the community and provide a theater for their community health center
